This site was put together by , residents of Collingwood, Clifton Hill and surrounds who want to see Wellington Street become a quieter, safer, greener street. We’d love to put an end to the thousands of cars passing through our neighbourhoods each day. It covers both stages: Stage 3 (Collingwood, Johnston Street to Alexandra Parade) and Stage 4 (Clifton Hill, Alexandra Parade to Queens Parade).
The shared street option will improve safety and liveability for local residents and for people travelling through the area. The only people who lose something are commuters who currently use Wellington Street as a shortcut. The aim of this site is to give people accurate information about what is actually being proposed, so they can form their own view.
